Oliver Sacks

Oliver Sacks (1933–2015) was a British neurologist, writer, and science communicator, known for making neurology accessible to the general public through his works. He spent much of his career in the United States, where he worked as a physician and university professor. His writings focused on real neurological cases and on the relationship between the brain, the mind, and human experience. His work was distinguished by combining scientific research with a close and humanistic perspective toward his patients.


Oliver Sacks (1933-2015) fue un neurólogo, escritor y divulgador científico británico, conocido por acercar la neurología al público mediante sus obras. Desarrolló gran parte de su carrera en Estados Unidos, donde ejerció como médico y profesor universitario. Sus escritos se centraron en casos neurológicos reales y en la relación entre el cerebro, la mente y la experiencia humana.
